Training and team building: Lunch & Learns at Epsilon

At Epsilon, we are passionate about bringing our people together, and in today’s hybrid landscape, it’s important for us to do so by hosting high impact events in-person that serve to increase connectivity, build culture and create strong relationships. While we embrace the virtual work world, we acknowledge some things are simply better in person.

One thing that’s always better in-person? Lunch and Learns! Epsilon’s L&D team recently put on their first technical Lunch and Learn of the year last month with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for over 40 employees in Irving, TX.

The AWS team presented on Re:Invent Recap, their annual conference in Las Vegas, showcasing new products, features and enhancements that are most applicable to how Epsilon interacts with AWS technologies. The event offered an opportunity to hear from the AWS team and ask questions, share personal use cases, and to interact face to face with Epsilon’s AWS support team.

Epsilon colleagues from all job levels were able to attend the event. The connectivity, energy and not to mention food made for an exciting and productive event to kick off in-person Lunch and Learns of 2023.

SVP of Technology Jeff White shared that in-person events are a “Great learning opportunity and purposeful event to meet in the office! Even if you don’t work on current training materials, you are exposed to new technologies used at Epsilon that expand your knowledge base and company network, which can pay dividends. Opportunities like these could even spark an idea to help solve current challenges. You could feel the comradery in the room!”

SVP of Global Learning and Development Mike Dixon couldn’t agree more, who kicked off the event by encouraging our employees to enjoy in person collaboration and share subjects they want to hear about in the future.

Epsilon appreciates our relationships with partners across the tech space and sees the value these learning opportunities have for our employees to learn about different technologies and grow their personal skillset across a broad group of technologies. Whether it be offering Lunch and Learns, on-demand learning offerings, or sponsoring certification opportunities, Epsilon values their employees and prioritizes their learning and development.

Stay tuned for more Lunch and Learn recaps and other live learning events in Epsilon offices this year, where employees will socialize with vendors such as AWS, Databricks, and MongoDB and colleagues throughout 2023. We are looking forward to more of these events and coming together to work and learn.
