How does a data clean room differ from a traditional data warehouse?

Data clean rooms focus on privacy-safe spaces for data collaboration between multiple parties. A data warehouse stores large volumes of data that is used primarily for a single organization’s internal, end-to-end analysis.

Is raw data ever shared in a data clean room?

Raw data can be brought into a clean room where it can be analyzed in a secure, controlled environment. However, raw data itself is never exposed to all parties with access to that clean room. Data clean rooms are designed to prevent data collaborators to see each other’s raw, sensitive or personally identifiable information (PII) while still allowing for collaboration.
