A look back at Epsilon tech training 2024
By: Heidi Fischer |December 19, 2024
With Generative AI on the rise and continuous improvements in Cloud capabilities, 2024 offered numerous technical training opportunities at Epsilon. From career development events and lunch & learns to live virtual trainings and self-paced learning, our employees eagerly engaged in exploring the latest tools and technologies in the tech industry; leveraging these opportunities help us to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Let’s take a moment to reflect on and acknowledge the incredible learning opportunities that Epsilon employees participated in throughout the year to enhance their careers.
Generative AI takes center stage
Generative AI was the star of the show in 2024 in terms of tech training; however, understanding the shift toward AI and actually utilizing the technology are two distinct challenges. The Learning & Development (L&D) team recognized how daunting this adjustment can be and worked to provide Epsilon employees with the tools they need to navigate it.
Despite the excitement around AI, figuring out where to start or which tools to use can be overwhelming. To give our teams the best advantage, the first Global DevelopU Week of the year focused on Generative AI, offering both technical and non-technical sessions. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with our people eager to dive in and learn more.
A record-breaking DevelopU Week
DevelopU Weeks in 2024 were some of the most successful in Epsilon's history. In April, thousands of employees from around the globe registered for the weeklong event, nearly doubling attendance from previous DevelopU sessions. In total, three DevelopU Weeks were held throughout the year, offering 40 sessions on business skills, along with technical training from partners such as Databricks, AWS, Microsoft, and Google.
In the U.S, DevelopU made its way to our Chicago, Irving, Westminster and Wakefield offices for a local DevelopU Day. During these events, the Technical Training Team launched Pluralsight, a self-paced tech training platform, for anyone looking to upskill their existing technical capabilities or learn something new.
Pluralsight: a major milestone
Providing access to Pluralsight for every employee at Epsilon was a long-term goal that came to fruition this past summer. Along with licensing to cover all employees, Pluralsight now offers Hands-On Labs and Gen AI and Cloud Sandbox environments.
“Having access to Hands-on-Labs and Cloud Sandboxes for our technical employees has truly been a game-changer for us. These tools have not only enabled our employees to practice their skills and enhance their expertise, but they have also helped our business save on costs significantly.”
Rubel Khan, Sr. Director Learning & Organizational Development
The skill growth we see from users on the platform is truly incredible!
To further support the continued pursuit of Generative AI knowledge, the Tech Training Team launched three separate monthly learning calendars, each featuring daily, bite-sized training sessions on Pluralsight. These sessions focused on areas like Gen AI, prompt engineering, and large language models (LLMs). Additionally, Pluralsight content was successfully integrated into Marcel Classes, making it even easier for employees to access learning paths and courses via the Marcel portal.
Epsilon’s L&D team extends its heartfelt thanks to all the incredible partners and internal training facilitators who contributed to making 2024 a standout year in tech training at Epsilon. We are so excited to see how much our teams have learned and are looking forward to continuing to support our employee'stechnical skill-growth in 2025!
